Atlanta Swim Academy Health and Safety Precautions

Health Precaution Expectations of Swim Families:

  • Caregivers are required to wear a mask inside the facilityMaintain 6 feet distance
  • Everyone entering the facility must get a temperature check. Fevers above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit should not come in the facility
  • One caregiver to enter with swimmer
  • Swimmer arrives in bathing suit and leaves in bathing suit
  • Arrive early to allow for check in time
  • Stay home if you feel unwell
  • Stay home if you have come into close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or if you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days

Health Precaution Expectations of our Staff:

  • All deck and non-water staff wear masks
  • All in-water staff wear face shields
  • Temperature check upon arrival
  • Maintain 6 feet distance whenever possible
  • Wash hands and sanitize hands
  • All staff agree to responsibly maintain CDC guidelines outside of ASA
  • Staff to stay home if they feel unwell
  • Staff to stay home if they have come into contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or if they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

Facility Health Precautions:

  • Entrance and Exits altered to allow for safe social distancing traffic flow
  • Doors propped open weather permitting
  • Pool ventilation is maintained to provide optimal circulation
  • Yellow tape and stickers on the floor to mark social distancing traffic flow
  • Pool benches marked for 6 feet distance - another reason to have one caregiver per student
  • Admin desk protected with clear plastic protective shields
  • Changing rooms closed - hence the bathing suit in/bathing suit out rule, or use the “wrap and leave” maneuver!
  • Hand sanitizer readily available at each pool entrance and admin desks
  • Facility sanitized every hour
  • Removed treasure box and toys from viewing room

Swim Lesson Health Precautions:

  • All Group Swim Lessons now 4:1 ratio
  • Colorful dots to help kids maintain distance on the side of the pool
  • Limited equipment and toys used in lessons
  • All equipment and toys are regularly sanitized throughout the day
  • Instructors wear face shields
  • Instructors continuously work to maintain distance among swimmers as best they can
  • More private lesson times offered

Missing Classes Due to COVID-19

  • If you feel sick or have experienced fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or if you have traveled outside the U.S. in the last 14 days, please stay home. Your swimmer will receive free makeup lessons for the misses.
